Lock.com Launches Early Access with Isolated Signing and Post-Quantum Architecture
Quantography Labs has unveiled Lock.com, a hardware-free cryptocurrency wallet that employs an air-gapped security model. The platform, now available to early-access users, eliminates the need for dedicated hardware wallets by isolating private key storage from networked devices.
Traditional hardware wallets require trust in the device, manufacturer, and supply chain—a vulnerability Lock.com addresses by decoupling the signing and broadcasting environments. Private keys remain entirely offline, while transactions are generated and broadcast from connected devices. This design leverages existing user hardware, bypassing reliance on specialized devices.
The project emerged from dissatisfaction with current crypto security standards. "Too many funds are lost not due to self-custody failures, but because surrounding software ecosystems lack robust design," the team stated. Lock.com's architecture integrates post-quantum cryptography, positioning it as a trust-minimized alternative to conventional wallet solutions.
